our story
Lindsay and I (Russell) started our CrossFit ‘journey’ the summer of 2010. Initially, the goal was to get in shape while being able to participate in something active together as a married couple. Both of us had the runner-type fitness background, but quickly fell in love with the variety and challenge CrossFit brought on a daily basis.
It only took a couple months before we realized CrossFit is not only an incredibly effective tool for gaining strength + endurance + power, but it was much more than that. Our love for fitness is exceeded by our love for people and community. We sincerely want to maximize the God-given potential of each person who walks into CrossFit LandRush. Most often, that potential is realized outside of the gym, in peoples’ daily lives!
The physical strength, mental toughness, increased energy and confidence achieved in CrossFit allows people to perform their best inside the gym and out. We have personally experienced and witnessed literally hundreds of changed lives over the years.
At CrossFit LandRush, the formula is simple: show up to class, follow simple nutrition guidelines and the results will take care of themselves. The bonus is the community. The reason we decided to venture into gym ownership is our strong belief that people need community to thrive. The community at LandRush motivates, encourages, and challenges on a daily basis. This doesn’t end when class is over. Our sincere desire is to see changed lives. Community not always clean, neat and pretty, but it’s always worth it…just like those tough CrossFit workouts we endure together!

A: Mine is a star crossed tale with CrossFit. I started doing CrossFit when I was fifteen and coaching just a few years later. I LOVED the feeling field so much I got my bachelors degree in exercise science, became an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist, and pursued tons of prenatal/postpartum exercise certifications. I love the feeling of capability and community CrossFit gives me and the people I work with.
Question 2 Q: What do you do outside the gym (job, activities, other involvements)?
A: When I'm not in the gym, I'm probably drinking my eighth cup of coffee, taking a long walk through a specialty grocery store, or trying to reorganize my bookshelves for the umpteenth time.
Q: What is your favorite thing about LandRush?
A: I love CrossFit Landrush for their focus on family-friendliness and RESULTS.
Question 4 Q: What would you tell someone who is thinking about getting started or has just begun their membership?
A: I tell people new to CrossFit to JUST DO IT.
